Amendments to the law on tourism provide for numerous changes.

Tourism business representatives notice increases in current and future commitments. Insurance companies are also skeptical about certain changes. According to them, some amendments feature insurance-related issues, but lawmakers did not bother to consult with insurance companies. Insurers believe that the amendments are aimed against the smallest businesses. Currently, travel companies are required to have collateral insurance cover of at least LTL 100,000. According to the amendments, this sum will be increased to LTL 150,000. Insurance amounts of companies with annual turnovers of more than LTL 3 million will have to stand at 5% of the annual income.
