Estonian Air decreased salaries of pilots and stewardesses by one third a couple of weeks ago.

Aviation firm president Andrus Aljas accounted for the move with the general economic situation and significantly decreased demand. Rauno Menning, who heads the union comprising the majority of Estonian route pilots, promised an immediate decision on first of all appealing against the company to the Work Dispute Commission, and if this is of no help, to take a court route.
