Ryanair, which last year was denied incredibly low fees for Riga Airport, is trying to place pressure on Tallinn Airport through the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications as well as the public.

The aviation company is asking for airport fees dropped down to zero in exchange for bringing in 1.5 million new travelers. To balance out the deal, Ryanair promised in a letter sent to various parties to quickly double the number of passengers arriving in Tallinn. The offer is the same road which the Latvian competition board banned from Riga, recalled Tallinn Airport Member of the Board Erik Sakkov. According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, Ryanair has been in continual contact with them; however the respective parties must independently agree upon contracts and prices.
