Charter flight airline flyLAL Charters is breaking away from any connection with bankrupt flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines.

As of yesterday the company will be known as Small Planet Airlines. "We see our future abroad. Lithuania is a small part of our business. We seek to become an international brand. We have grown out of our name," Vytautas Kaikaris, Director General of Small Planet Airlines, says. For several years now the company has been scouting markets abroad. Revenue in Lithuania accounts for less than half of the total. Currently the airline operates seven leased Boeing 737 Classic planes. The fleet is planned to be expanded to 12 aircrafts in 2012.
