Ryanair is expanding its activity in Lithuania by increasing the number of flights, the Irish air carrier announced last week in a press conference.

Laszlo Tamas, Ryanair sales and marketing manager for United Kingdom, Ireland, Central and Eastern Europe, said flights from Kaunas to Gothenburg were scheduled to start 2 November and take place three times a week. Further plans regarding Kaunas Airport were not revealed. Tamas said Ryanair was set to soon surpass all the European air carriers according to all main parameters. The guest did not miss the chance to voice criticism for the State Tourism Department which reportedly shows no willingness to cooperate with Ryanair in promoting Lithuania abroad.
