The city has plans to erect a multifunctional shipbuilding and cultural center on territory along Emajõgi River closer to the town from the current ship house – a boat park where construction of a historic inland vessel is planned.

The park will feature a river museum, children's boathouse, research and training center, a small harbor and more. Visitors will be able to watch shipbuilding with their own eyes. All sorts of cultural events such as concerts, film evenings, instructional days etc will also start being held in the boar park.
