The Italian lady Cesaria Ton (71) has been expelled from Mauritius where her family lives, and has stayed for five years in the Italian airport.

Italian police has tried to establish contact between the lady and the Mauritian consulate in Italy, but without success. She has also been offered a job, but has refused, because she feels her ‘closer to her family in the airport’.

She gets a small pension and makes a living from coins left by travelers in their baggage-trolleys.

Her story resembles the story from the Tom Hanks movie, The Terminal, where a traveler was trapped in JFK Airport with no entry in US or his homeland. The Cesaria Ton Story will soon be ready for the cinemas, as a film director has followed her in her daily life in the airport.
