Tallink did a proper work over the summer and increased its passenger number across its various routes to the highest level in several years.

Altogether 962,542 people chose Tallink routes for their trips across The Baltic Sea, marking an improvement of 8.8 per cent in comparison with last year.

This is the exact same percentage increase comparing the months of August in 2007 and 2008 and just a bit higher than in the prior year. Thus, the trend is very unvarying.

The biggest increase was seen on the Estonia-Finland route – 1.24 million passengers (+12 per cent). Only on the Finland-Germany route did passenger numbers decrease, with 35,463 travelers total (-20 per cent).
